Public Notice Students, their families, employees and potential employees of the Union County Schools are hereby notified that the Union County School System does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnic or national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, political affiliation, age, disabling condition, or limitations related to pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions in its programs and activities.
Further, the school system does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, disability, or age in employment, vocational programs, or activities as set forth in compliance with federal and state statutes and regulations.
The district is required by Title IX and Title IX regulations not to discriminate on the basis of sex in the education program or activity that it operates. This requirement not to discriminate in the education program or activity extends to admissions and employment. Application of Title IX and the Title IX regulations may be referred to the Title IX Coordinator, the Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Dept. of Education (Office for Civil Rights), or both.
