Mrs. Willett is a veteran educator of 24 years, with 14 of those being spent at Morganfield Elementary as a classroom teacher and Certified School Manager.  For the last three school years, she has served as the assistant principal at Union County High School.

She now returns to Morganfield Elementary with a passion to lead the school with excellence.   “I am so excited to continue serving this amazing community in this new capacity,” Mrs. Willett emphasized.  “Together with our phenomenal staff, I know we will continue to make MES a place where every student feels valued, challenged, and loved.”

Mr. Baird began his career in education as a chemistry teacher at Madisonville North Hopkins High School and has spent the past 13 years serving students and educators in Hopkins County Schools. Most recently, he served as the Instructional Leader and Assessment Coordinator at MNHHS.

"Returning to Union County as assistant principal is both a professional honor and a personal privilege,” Baird acknowledged.  “As a Union County graduate, it is especially meaningful to have the chance to give back to the community and school system that played such an important role in my life.  I look forward to serving our students, staff, and families for many years to come.”

The Mission

“At Union County Public Schools, we envision a future where every member of our school family is seen, supported, and inspired,” highlighted Superintendent Dr. Terra Hancock. “Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Willett, and Mr. Baird embrace that vision and will work with families, staff, and community partners to build schools where our students succeed with confidence, character, and bravery. We’re thrilled to welcome these leaders to their new roles, and we look forward to the ways they’ll fulfill our mission to Be Brave, Learn, Lead, and Succeed!”
