Brooke Morgan Honored with KAGE Service & Advocacy Award

Union County Public Schools (UCPS) is proud to celebrate Mrs. Brooke Morgan who was recently honored with the prestigious Service and Advocacy Award by the Kentucky Association for Gifted Education (KAGE).  Mrs. Morgan is a veteran Union County educator who currently serves as the elementary gifted and talented resource teacher.

The KAGE Service and Advocacy Award is a statewide honor presented annually to an individual who has made significant positive contributions to gifted education in the school, district, community, and state.  Mrs. Morgan was recognized for displaying a record of advocacy for gifted and talented children and for demonstrating actions that have greatly impacted students, parents, and educators. She received her award at a special presentation at the KAGE Annual Conference last week in Lexington.

Dr. Tamala Howard, UCPS Assistant Superintendent of Academic Services and GT Coordinator, highlighted the significance of the KAGE recognition.  She stated, “This award celebrates Mrs. Morgan’s incredible passion for our gifted and talented students and the enormous transformation she has brought to our district’s elementary gifted program.”

Mrs. Morgan is the third Union County educator to receive this special recognition, following Meg Gatten in 2016 and Abby Wheaton in 2024.  Union County Public Schools is proud to have such a strong gifted education program with educators who are leaders in their field.  Congratulations to Mrs. Brooke Morgan on this well-deserved recognition!
