UC Leaders Serve as Mentors at Kentucky Women in Educational Leadership Forum

Three of our district leaders are attending the Kentucky Women in Educational Leadership (KWEL) Forum this week in Louisville, hosted by the Kentucky Association of School Administrators. Superintendent Patricia Sheffer served on the steering committee that started KWEL several years ago to be a catalyst to support exemplary female leadership and increase the percent of women in executive level roles in education.  Assistant Superintendents Dr. Terra Hancock and Dr. Tamala Howard have both completed the leadership development program and are now serving as mentors to other educational leaders.  Dr. Hancock is serving as a mentor to Laura Lee from Caldwell County Schools, while Dr. Howard is serving as a mentor to Shonda Hollowell from Paducah Independent Schools. We thank Mrs. Sheffer, Dr. Hancock, and Dr. Howard for investing in others and encouraging them to maximize their leadership potential.
