UCHS Students Honored by College Board National Recognition Program

Union County High School seniors Drew Sprague and Rachel Greenwell have earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Program.  Both students were named National Rural and Small Town Award recipients because of their outstanding academic achievement in the classroom and on national standardized tests.  Criteria for the award included maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher, earning a score of 3 or higher on 2 or more AP Exams in 9th and 10th grade, and attending a school in a rural area or small town.

The National Award Program is designed to celebrate students' hard work in high school and showcase the strong academic performance of underrepresented students. The academic honors for rural area students are an opportunity for students to stand out to colleges and scholarship programs that are seeking to recruit diverse talent.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate Drew and Rachel and recognize them for the great work they’ve been doing,” highlights UCHS principal Amy Nelson.  “We’re proud of their strong academic performance, and we know receiving this honor is an asset for their future.”

Congratulations to Drew Sprague and Rachel Greenwell!  We're very proud of you!
