Superintendent and Email Buddy Have Fun with Fine Motor Skills Activity

Superintendent Patricia Sheffer is in it for the kids-- there's no doubt about it.  Sheffer takes time to regularly interact with students and be involved in the day-to-day activities of our schools.  On Thursday, October 31, Sheffer took time to visit her email buddy, Cheyenne Jones, at UCMS and brought a special surprise for the student.

Sheffer brought in a bottle of purple nail polish to do an impromptu fine motor skills activity with the student.  Sheffer said, "Cheyenne was thrilled that we were polishing each other's nails; and in the 10 minutes it took to paint our nails, we were able to get in a fine motor skills activity, build our relationship, and have some fun!  It's the small things that can make a big difference in the lives of our students."
