Tammy Mosby Begins Service as Director of College & Career Readiness

Union County Public Schools would like to welcome Tammy Mosby as our new Director of College and Career Readiness.  In this role, Ms. Mosby will be responsible for continuing to maximize our district’s partnership with the Earle C. Clements Job Corps Academy (ECCJCA).

Students enrolled in UCPS currently have the opportunity to receive job skills training at ECCJCA in program areas such as automotive service, culinary arts, welding, electricity, computer repair and networking, and other specialty skill areas.  Ms. Mosby plans to open doors for more UCPS students to expand their future potential by taking advantage of these outstanding training opportunities. For instance, she will showcase the various training fields by organizing tours for Union County middle and high school students to see the ECCJCA campus and programs firsthand.

In her new role, Ms. Mosby will serve as principal of Victory Tech High School on the Job Corps campus, a role previously filled by Dr. Brian Lovell.  Dr. Lovell has accepted a position with the Kentucky Department of Education as the Exceptional Children Consultant beginning this July.  Union County Public Schools wishes Dr. Lovell continued success in his new role with KDE.

Ms. Mosby previously served as principal of Union County Middle School where she had also served as a teacher, counselor, and assistant principal.  She believes her background knowledge of students will allow her to build positive relationships and connect students with the right opportunities.
