UCPS Employee Tuition
Rembursement
At the regular Board of
Education meeting of June 18, 2007, the Board formally approved a
Tuition Reimbursement program for all full-time employees, effective
July 1, 2007.
All regular, full-time
employees are eligible for tuition assistance (up to 30%, not to exceed
$140 per individual class, of expenses such as tuition and textbooks) to
take approved courses toward completion of a planned program of study or
to obtain a certificate in a job-related field.
Tuition assistance will
be provided after the employee's hire date with the District. No
assistance will be given for courses a person takes prior to employment
with the District. Employees who resign or are otherwise terminated before
satisfactory completion of a course are not eligible for reimbursement for
that course.
